Rivers change course, break banks, dry up, only to flow again; starting far up in the mountains, travelling far and wide to reach the sea. And growing up on the banks of one, I have learned to cherish them. Also, it was AA Milne’s birthday last week. 18 January to be precise.

So here is a post celebrating the man who gave us Pooh, Tigger and so much more, all while simplifying some of life’s big lessons into a line or two. And reading what he had to say on rivers, I really couldn’t resist writing and drawing this up. Happy reading!

PS. I really want to make this into a woodcut, inspired by some pretty awesome prints at the Printmaking Festival at Singapore Art Week! What say? Maybe some day!
