PechaKucha – 20 seconds is actually a long time.

Give people a stage and a chance to present, and odds are that you are in for a long, long talk. True especially of architects (We love to talk about our vision of the world, concepts and we totally love to talk about those deep, abstract stuff).

And so the PechaKucha format of presentation was created (by some architects, no less) that meant 20 slides, 20 seconds per slide and no more. It is now a global movement — a platform for people to talk, briefly, about their ideas, pet projects, or anything under the sun.

Chennai too has its own PechaKucha night and I had a great evening sharing stories with some wonderful people here. Honestly, I was nervous about the whole 20 second per slide limit, but then again, 20 seconds is actually a long time. You just have to make every second count.
