A taste of India _Part 1(Chennai)

This is the start of a photo series on India, its places & its people. To kick start this are some photographs taken in the Theosophical society, Chennai.  It is one of those places less frequented, but then again, that is its charm..a place to be away from the maddening crowd..

Key features of this campus include the 450-year old banyan tree, adyar garden houses (a building typology of old which consisted of villas facing the river/waterfront; but which sadly are in disrepair today….) as well as bats and more bats….! A place for self-reflection…and melancholy too… emphasizing the passage of time….
